Small but beautiful - cross-country skiing in Val Lumnezia
The cross-country skiing area of Val Lumnezia is located in a hilly area, south of the village of Degen. Extended over 4 km, the route consists of a main piste and a small circuit of 2 km just below the village of Vella. The well-prepared and groomed routes of Val Lumnezia are prepared for both the classic and the skating technique.
The cross-country routes of Vella and Degen are connected by a 2 km long route. This is particularly demanding and intended for very good cross-country skiers. With a 200 m difference in altitude, the route offers a hard climb and a fast downhill run. This piste is only rolled, not groomed. Therefore, it is only suitable for the skating technique. Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6pm to 9pm, the piste in Degen is floodlit.
