Varied winter sports in idyllic nature
The Obersaxen Mundaun region is a haven of peace in the heart of a beautiful Alpine landscape. Excited winter hikers will find numerous marked routes through magical landscapes of the middle Surselva and with views of the Brigelser Hörner. For fans of Nordic Walking, there are two marked and rolled pistes in Obersaxen between Misanenga and Huot, over Meierhof, through beautiful Walser villages and snow-covered winter forests. One of the most popular routes connects with a length of 7 km Obersaxen Meierhof to Friggahüs via Giraniga.
At the Plitschès T-bar lift is the snow park of Obersaxen. It offers beginners and experts different elements: Kickers (Jump / Ramp), Rails and Slides. Snowboard and freestyle fans will also get their money's worth on the half pipe below the Piz Sezner.
A magical place for children
Obersaxen delights families with original and amusing winter activities. Children are offered a wide range of activities: Disco for 6-12 year olds in the Rufali bar with DJ and clown, accompanied by a colorful mix of the best hits for kids. Young and old can enjoy themselves to their heart's content in Rufali Park. There, children will find, among other attractions, carousels, animations and playful courses, which are operated by child-friendly lifts: practice lift, magic carpet / conveyor belt. There are also special ski passes for beginners, score cards, 3 ski schools and a large race organized by the ski schools: Snowli Kids-Race, 2 days of competition.
Other fun moments in the snow can be experienced on the sledges. A special fun for families or friends is the 6 km long downhill run Kartitscha-Meierhof. The toboggan runs Wali-Zarzana (4.5 km) and Miraniga-Meierhof (1 km) as well as a spectacular airboard run of 2 km between Cuolm Sura and Valata complete the toboggan offer of Obersaxen.
