Nestled in the valley of the Dala, at the foot of the Torrenthorn and the imposing rock faces of the Gemmi Pass lies Leukerbad - a place to feel good. Since ancient times, the healing effects of the thermal sources of Leukerbad have been known. Today it is the largest wellness and spa center in the Alps. In Leukerbad there are about 30 thermal pools with wonderfully warm water. But Leukerbad is not only a thermal area but also a medium-sized ski area with 50 kilometers of well-kept pistes. What is better for body and soul than moments of relaxation and recuperation in a hot bath surrounded by snow in the heart of the magnificent Alpine landscape?

With its southeastern location, Leukerbad is a very sunny ski area. Its pistes are mostly above the tree limit, which guarantees natural snow conditions from December to April. Due to the large number of difficult pistes, Leukerbad is particularly suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers. For good skiers, the ski area promises an extraordinary 14 km dowbhill run. From the highest point of the ski area the Schwalbennest to the lower lift station of Leukerbad bottles, it overcomes a height difference of 968 m. It is a very varied route, which leads across different terrains, has medium and heavy sections and thus presents the skiers the different facets of the ski area.

But Leukerbad also bears the seal of approval "Families Welcome" and has many advantages to guarantee ski beginners an optimal winter holiday. For skiers, there are two blue pistes and practice grounds in the Erli Park and in the Snowpark Sportarena right in the heart of the ski area. An advantage: novice skiers do not need to use ski lifts to get to the pistes and practice grounds.
