World Cup pistes for ski professionals
Lenzerheide regularly organizes international ski competitions, such as the Alpine Ski World Cup for women and men and the finale of the FIS Audi World Cup. The ski network of the ski area includes beautiful runs, such as the famous FIS race piste "Silvano Beltrametti". This 2.45 km long piste leads from the Motta hut (2257m) near the summit station of the Weisshorn lift down to the entrance to Parpan, located in the valley at 1530 m altitude and overcomes a difference in altitude of 727 m. Goose bumps are guaranteed on this thrilling downhill run, where the steepest section has a dizzying 65% gradient. This piste is rightly called the world's steepest women's World Cup group.
For advanced skiers, Lenzerheide also offers the Rothorn ski run, the longest ski run in the Arosa-Lenzerheide ski area. This 9 km long route begins in a beautiful landscape at the Rothorn summit (2861 m), from where you have a 360 ° panorama over several hundred Alpine peaks. The piste is very varied. There are moderate and exciting sections as well as excellent carving zones. Lenzerheide also has a racetrack suitable for skiers of all levels: the Pedra Grossa. On this as well as on the Cumascheals piste, an electronic system enables the measurement of the speed of skiers. For off-piste fans, Lenzerheide offers a great tour outside the marked and secured pistes of the ski area: the ski safari. It is an adventurous route that takes skiers via Arosa to the neighboring village of Tschiertschen before returning to Lenzerheide. The only thing you need for this trip to nature is a valid ski pass for Arosa-Lenzerheide and Tschiertschen.
