World Cup and freeride routes
Both piste areas offer an enormous range of different downhill runs for beginners as well as for professionals. Directly from Veysonnaz with only one gondola to the altitude station Thyon 2000 at 2100 meters, where optimal practice pistes already await beginners. In the direction of Les Collons and Les Masses, there are also special Slow Zones, and on those easy pistes so to speak, there is a speed limit a speed limit.
But professionals too can look forward to some highlights around Veysonnaz. Just like the legendary World Cup downhill run "Piste de l'Ours" with a length of 2 kilometers and a difference in altitude of 900 meters. Deep snow fans, on the other hand, can start from the Greppon Blanc at an altitude of 2700 meters onto the famous freeride piste L'Éteygeon. And for snowboarders and freestylers, the so-called Central Park, one of the most famous snow parks in the Alps, awaits above Thyon 2000.
Via Siviez and the Mont-Fort summit, which at 3330 meters is the highest point of the 4 Vallées, winter sports fans finally reach the other half of the giant ski area with 2 other snow parks and half pipes as well as numerous off-piste routes, especially in the area of Verbier.
Incidentally, the Mont Fort summit is also accessible to pedestrians and definitely worth a visit. Finally, the "igloo bar" is the highest bar in Europe.
If you want to return to Veysonnaz after a long day in the Printze ski area or in the entire 4 Vallées, you can look forward to optimum snow conditions thanks to artificial snow. Every Tuesday night during the season, skiers on the downhill run can also take part in a scenic torchlight downhill run.
Cross-country skiers can reach the 5-kilometer-long cross-country ski run between Thyon and Les Chottes at around 2200 meters altitude from Veysonnaz with just one gondola ride.
Family Leisure activities
Not only big, but also small skiers are just right in Veysonnaz. Two ski kindergartens welcome the youngest winter athletes aged 3 to 5, and an additional day nursery in Thyon 2000 also looks after small guests aged 3 to 8 years.
Fun in the snow for the whole family is guaranteed on a winter hike or snowshoe tour. Each 4 routes between 5 and 10 or 2 and 10 kilometers are available for this purpose.
Also on the toboggan run or snow tubing in Thyon, sledding on big pneumatic tires, big and small skiers get their money's worth. As well as on the rink in Nendaz. From Monday to Friday, a free shuttle bus connects Veysonnaz to Nendaz stations.
Whoever wants to rest and relax after a day on the pistes or on a ski-free day, then the Wellness Center in Veysonnaz is the right place for you. Here you can not only swim in the indoor pool, but also relax in the sauna, hammam, caldarium, whirlpool or with a massage.
Ski fans in Veysonnaz can choose from numerous cozy restaurants and bars for an equally successful evening program and can turn night into day in the local disco.
