With an average of 300 sunny days per year and an impressive view of the Rhone Valley, the small Veysonnaz ski resort has become a popular destination for skiing fans who want to explore the pistes of the 4 Vallées. The small mountain village at an altitude of 1350 meters in the middle of the Valais Alps also enchants with its authentic charm. Traditional farmhouses and typical chalets characterize the small ski resort, which is only 13 kilometers away from Sion, the capital of the canton of Valais. Founded in the 18th century, however, the municipality of Veysonnaz did not develop into a winter sports resort until the 1960s, which still combines historical charm and modern comfort. From here, skiers have the option of either using the Printze sub-ski area with some 220 km of pistes connecting the Thyon / Les Collons, Siviez (without Mont-Fort), Nendaz and Veysonnaz stations. Or the entire XXL ski area 4 Vallées with over 400 km of pistes, which also includes the stations La Tzoumaz and Verbier.
