412 kilometres of slope at altitudes between 3.300 and 1.400 meters make the region 4 Vallées in the French-speaking part of the canton Wallis the largest skiing region of Switzerland and one of the largest skiing regions of Europe. As the name says, the Swiss winter sports region is comprised of four side valleys on the southern part of the Rhône.
